All Pro Science and Tony Gonzalez Congratulate TEAM APS Athlete Troy Tulowitzki on Blockbuster Contract
Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcon tight end and President of All Pro Science congratulates TEAM APS Ambassador Athlete Endorser and Colorado Rockies shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki on his new $163 million contract.
IRVINE, CA, December 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- All Pro Science and its President, Tony Gonzalez, congratulate Colorado Rockies shortstop and TEAM APS Ambassador Athlete Troy Tulowitzki on his $134 million contract agreement with Rockies management. TEAM APS includes top athletes such as NFL greats Warren Moon, Will Shields, Nate Burleson, Devin McCourty, Naufahu Tahi, Jim Leonhard, and Jason McCourty. MLB Pitcher Collin Balester and LA's top yoga instructor Alanna Zabel are also among TEAM APS's notable athletes. APS athletes are not paid, but instead often approach the company themselves, to be a part of its unique and wholesome message.
This is an extension to Tulowitzki's current deal that will keep him a Colorado Rocky through at least 2020. The contract also has a $14 million team option for 2021 and a $4 million team buyout clause. ESPN.com reports that, all told, the deal from now to 2020 is worth $163 million in guaranteed money for the next 10 years, given that Tulowitzki was under contract through 2013 before this newest deal came to fruition.
Tulowitzki had a mammoth 2010, winning his first NL Silver Slugger Award and Gold Glove Award while hitting .315 and 95 RBI and 27 home runs. All of this was while missing 33 games with a broken wrist. For his career, Tulowitzki has 608 hits, 92 home runs, 338 RBIs, and a .290 batting average, all just after his 26th birthday.
"Troy has been and continues to be nothing but pure excellence," says APS President and Atlanta Falcon tight end Tony Gonzalez. "We've known about Troy for a while. We've known what kind of talent and attitude he possesses, and it's great to see that others in the sporting world are finally recognizing it too. We couldn't be more proud of what he's done on the field, and off, as our ambassador for clean, all-natural products in the greater baseball world."
APS Director Paul Edalat echoed Gonzalez's sentiments, "We are so happy for Troy and for the opportunity to have All Pro Science associated with him. The exciting news has coincided nicely with his efforts to clean-up baseball of its 'steroid era' image. He's been a great representative for the company and in helping spread the message about clean, all-natural supplements. He's living proof there are options, such as APS, to excel in an all-natural way. This is just the beginning for Tulowitzki and APS; we couldn't be prouder of his professional success."
